About Chandra
A Doctor’s Vision for Healing Through Yoga
Dr. Chandra Kumar (BNYS, MSc (Psychology), PGDFM) is a well-known practitioner in Naturopathy and Yogic Science, with more than 20 years of experience in therapeutic yoga, holistic health, and mind–body healing.
His journey began at a time when yoga schools were few and far between. As a medical professional, Dr. Chandra recognized early on that yoga had the potential to become much more than a fitness practice—it could be a powerful therapeutic system, capable of supporting physical rehabilitation, mental wellbeing, and long-term health.

Dr. Chandra’s work is grounded in strong academic foundations and continuous professional development:
● Bachelor of Naturopathy and Yogic Science (BNYS) Tamil Nadu Medical College of Naturopathy and Yogic Science, Salem Under Dr. M.G.R. Medical University, Chennai (2004)
● Post Graduate Diploma in Fitness Management (PGDFM) Bharathiar University, Coimbatore (2005)
● Master of Science in Psychology (MSc – Psychology) Annamalai University, Chidambaram (2009)
● E-RYT 200 & 300 | Registered Yoga School (RYS)
This diverse educational background allows him to approach yoga not only as movement, but as a clinical, psychological, and preventive health tool.
